Your role at Clorox:
We are looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced DataOps Engineer to join our enterprise data strategy and operations. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our enterprise data platforms across SAP and Azure cloud ecosystems, ensuring smooth operation, scalability, and reliability of data products that power critical business functions such as supply chain, finance and enterprise analytics.
In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with a team of offshore engineers to drive the smooth operation and continuous improvement of data products that power critical functions in supply chain, finance, and beyond. As a key player in ensuring our data products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with the company’s strategic vision, you’ll provide hands-on support for SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and Azure-based data pipelines, resolving issues swiftly to keep operations running seamlessly. You’ll also take ownership of creating and maintaining detailed documentation of workflows, processes, and data product configurations, championing best practices in data governance and security.
In this role, you will:
- Manage, monitor, and optimize data pipelines across SAP BW, Datasphere, Analytics Cloud, and Azure tools like ADF and Databricks. Ensure data products are high-performing, secure, and reliable.
- Work with internal and offshore engineering teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data products, ensuring alignment with business needs. Coordinate change management and incident resolution following ITIL best practices
- Continuously analyze and enhance data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business needs. Contribute to the design and deployment of new data products and solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of workflows, processes, and data product configurations, adhering to best practices for data governance and security.
- Partner with supply chain, finance, and analytics stakeholders to ensure data products meet business requirements.
- Work within an Agile product team structure and collaborate with product owners, technical leads, engineers and analysts.
- This role may be required to hire, onboard, and manage a team of 4-10 contract/managed service provider engineers.
What we look for:
- 7 plus years of hands-on experience in SAP data platforms (S4HANA, SAP BW on HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud) and exposure to Azure data services (ADF, Databricks). MUST have experience with SAP Datasphere.
- 5 plus years of experience with data warehousing, business intelligence with substantial experience in supporting large-scale data solutions
- 4 plus years with business intelligence using technologies like SAC, Power BI, Tableau etc.
- 3 plus years of experience with Azure services like Data Factory, Databricks, and Delta Lake will be an added advantage.
- Strong technical expertise, collaborative problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead operational improvements in a global, team-oriented environment.
- Experience in end-to-end support for data engineering solutions (Data Pipelines), including designing, developing, deploying, and supporting solutions for existing platforms
Technical Skills:
- SAP Platforms: S4HANA, SAP BW (Business Warehouse) , SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- S4 Core Data Services (CDS) Views, Datasphere Replication, Datasphere Space Management, Data Modeling, Analytical Models, Data Access Control, DP Agent Provisioning, SAP BW Bridge, SAP BW Open Hub, SAP BW Query
- Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks (pipeline development and management) , Azure Synapse Analytics
- Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in SQL (essential for querying and database management) , Python (for automation and scripting) , Familiarity with scripting tools like PowerShell or Bash
- DataOps and DevOps Practices: CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git), Experience with monitoring tools like Control M, Azure Monitor for pipeline optimization
- Other skills: Data Modeling, ETL process knowledge, strong understanding of data security and governance principles

–Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100
–Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100
–Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100
